The cost of dental care and the economic crisis is pushing many Americans to self. How to tell the professionals, sometimes people choose the most extreme ways.

Since a significant number of people in the US is trying to cure   broken teeth ... using superglue. Others decide on their own to treat tooth channels before you see a doctor. This was announced at a meeting of the Chicago Dental community.

In preparation for the 146 th annual meeting, which brings together more than 30,000 dental professionals, community members interviewed about the current trends and features in their work. More than 70% of dentists admitted that they recently treated patients who had previously engaged self-treatment . Most often, these would-be doctors tried to put in place the precipitated crown or a broken portion of the tooth using superglue.

In addition, the vast majority of people in the event of severe toothaches did not go to the doctor and began taking painkillers, do any of the rinse folk recipes and even conspiracies.

But the most surprising stories of some doctors, patients who are trying to hold self-medication   root canal using a conventional drill (!), which you can buy at any hardware store. And just so completely destroying their teeth, people finally decide to go to the dentist.

30% of all dental injuries, according to doctors' estimates were the result of a basketball game. Next on the extent of follow hockey, baseball and softball. 70% of the dentists said that because of the crisis, their patients are put off preventive examinations or treatment.
