The Federation Council approved on Saturday a meeting of the law under which substantially increased penalties for poaching.
In particular, for violation of the protection of the environment and migration routes of animals, including aquatic birds and fish provides sanctions in the form of warning or a fine for citizens in the amount of 2 thousand to 5 thousand rubles (now - from 300 to 500 rubles) for officials - from 5 to 10 thousand rubles (now - from 500 to 1 thousand rubles) for legal entities - from 10 to 15 thousand rubles (now - from 5 thousand to 10 thousand rubles).
Violation of the rules will be punished with a fine hunting for people from 2 to 5 thousand rubles (Now 1-2 thousand), for officials - from 20-30 thousand rubles (now - 10-15 thousand rubles).
For violation of fishing regulations, including commercial fishing, coastal fishing the maximum fine for the citizens will increase by 2, 5 times to 5 thousand rubles for officials - half (from 20-30 thousand rubles). Responsibility for legal persons remains unchanged.
This penalty does not apply to fishing in the inland waters and territorial sea, the continental shelf and the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation. Thus, the law goes to the President for signature.
