Uninhabited islands and modern "Robinson"

Uninhabited islands and modern "Robinson" Defoe would have known the writer who created three hundred years ago, his famous Robinson Crusoe, how will his life story about the ordeal hermit! After all, in reality, cases similar to the book of history, come so far ...

First female Robinson

Even seasoned man, if he were to a desert island I have a hard time. What to say about the fairer sex! But negotiating the fate of place: once destined to be dropped "Robinson" - will have to drudge. In 1977, the Indian Ocean storm covered the fishing craft, which was a 10-year-old girl Imayati. Father-fisherman had raised her without her mother, and took with him to fish where no one with whom to leave. Six years Imayati, like the rest of the crew from the wrecked vessel, presumed dead: was mourned and symbolically buried. But in 1983, on one of the islands near Sumatra at the camera to the American filmmakers, film about the tropical fauna, got "something" (it turned out, however, on closer view, humanoid individual of explicitly female).

Assuming that this is a local variety of Bigfoot, scientists urgently organized a search expedition. And they found ... Imayati grown up, which today is officially the first and so far only female Robinson. By the way, the female essence captive-islanders even in such extreme conditions of life manifested in full: Imayati dugout was filled with all sorts of loincloth made of bark and footwear ...

 Uninhabited islands and modern "Robinson"

Victim of a shipwreck

History yachtsman Williams Haas was both tragic and funny .  In 1980, his boat drifted near the Bahamas, hit a shoal and happily went to the bottom .  Williams fortunately escaped, reached by swimming to a deserted piece of land called the three words of the World Por Vos .  Miraculously yachtsman managed to light a fire and three months to maintain its combustion .  During this time he managed to make himself a kind of water from desalination found rubber tubing, and ate lizards .  Curiously, a few kilometers from this island on the ocean repeatedly floated the vessel, which undoubtedly noticed flames .  But no one turned to save the "Robinson" .  Poor Williams knew his refuge at the old sea legend, considered a cursed place, and held angry at the "indifferent" to the suffering of others of mankind .  Therefore, his savior - a helicopter pilot, noticed the fire and landed on the island, the first thing a yachtsman thoroughly filled snout ...

Hermits at his own request

Oddly enough, to be on the a desert island   You can not just irony. Served in the "Robinson" and originals, fed up with the pleasures of the civilized world. In 1989, Canadian Georges de Caunes, whose job was to PR, he suddenly realized that he was terribly tired of people. I wanted to rest - that not a living soul around. Option with the death of Georges categorically do not like, but spend half a year on some desert island - completely.

As a result, a good portion of their savings Canadian spent on it, with the help of experts to find a reserved area in the district of New Zealand, and then hire a carrier. But after a couple months of stay on the island "ideological Robinson" visited customs. It turned out that during the last period of the island was recognized as the property of one of New Zealand's aboriginal tribes, long laid claim to it. And now for his visit to the required visa, which Georges was not. In general, the "Robinson" expelled. However, it is not very upset: life in splendid isolation is not turned romantic, and heavy and dreary.

But on an island in the archipelago of the Cook Anchorage a few years ago I lived a hermit anonymous volunteer, opposes any attempt to escape. All he bombards visitors with exotic fruits with a cry of "Yes you go ... I'm happy as ever, you idiot! ".
