In his study, experts from the Center for Cancer Research Fred Hutchinson in Washington has set the task to find out how effective yoga classes for those who want to have a slim figure but does not want to resort to diet and exercise. The experts concluded that yoga can really help in reducing weight. Yoga is also effective as a way to keep the shape with age, without succumbing to "traditional" weight gain in middle years.

10 years after the first test, conducted by researchers, it was found that men and women are overweight, practicing yoga, dropped about 3 kg. Those patients who do not practice yoga for 10 years, on the contrary, "lost" figure, gaining an additional 7 kg. In total, the experiment was attended by 15 500 healthy men and women of middle age.
