17-week fetus smiling!

17-week fetus smiling! Look at the picture of the embryo at the age of 17 weeks, which broke into a happy smile. This is another proof of the fact that children at this early stage are able to experience emotions.

In the UK, the continued strength of the debate about whether to lower the limit term to abortion   to the existing 24 weeks. This scan of the fetus at 17 weeks can be a very strong argument supporters reduction term abortion and opponents of abortion. In the photo it is clearly seen that kid smiling.

However, Professor Stuart Campbell, who took this picture at his London clinic, using equipment in 3D and 4D, considers that the picture is not wholly evidence of the senses on such embryos   early pregnancy . But it demonstrates very human emotions.

"It is an expression of joy, no doubt - said Professor Campbell. - I've seen in embryos reflected the sadness on their faces at the age of 18-19 weeks, but smile watching for the first time. Throughout my career is the earliest emotion at the kid."

Renowned British obstetrician did not know what could cause a smile. "There is a certain mimic a sequence that is determined by different actions - yawning, breathing, opening the eyelids and, of course, crying face," - explains Campbell.

The kid should be born in January. His parents, Louise and Sam Henry from Berkshire recognized that they were amazed when they saw that smile. "On such a early pregnancy   you're worried about was that the child was developing normally, - says the happy father. - But see for yourself how he smiles, it's fantastic! "
