Zone bikini best left alone!

Women who choose to shave or wax process bikini area, then more likely to experience skin infections. Doctors warn of numerous microtraumas, arising from the intimate haircuts.

Trimmed, hair removal in the bikini area   with a razor or wax - all this increases the risk of a highly contagious skin infection, according to scientists from France. Their experience is based on observations of numerous patients of private skin clinic in Nice from January 2011 until March 2012. The observation results published in British Medical Journal.

The researchers found that as a result of hair removal bikini   skin microtrauma applied to become a gateway for molluscum contagiosum. This viral infection is easily spread by contact of skin of different people, or after use of a contaminated household items, such as a robe or towel.

The infection often strikes children and adults whose immune systems are compromised by a disease or the use of drugs. The infection can also be transmitted through sex, and the number of infections of this kind in the last 10 years has increased markedly. Among the 30 patients clinic in Nice, applied for the treatment of the disease, 93% had previously passed through the removal of hair in the bikini area.
