It is significant that the anti-cancer effect of apigenin showed himself before. For example, scientists have observed that regular consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables that contain apigenin, women significantly reduces the risk of ovarian cancer. Experts said that apigenin, a part of the components of fruits and vegetables, is able to stop the growth of cancer cells and even kill them.

Researchers in the Netherlands found that this valuable component found in celery, parsley, red wine and tomatoes. Regular use of these products, they say, very effectively prevents the likelihood of developing leukemia.

However, those patients who had been diagnosed with leukemia and who are being treated with chemotherapy, the doctors do not recommend eating foods rich apigenin. "We have learned that the flavonoid produced in the body resistance to drugs used to treat cancer," - warned the head of the research team, Dr. Maikel Peppelenbosh. (READ MORE)
