Older workers were better than the young

Age workers are more reliable and savvy than the young, they also can be less than "unlucky days." This is the conclusion, researchers from the Max Planck Institute in Berlin.

Many recruitment agencies set age limits for the most prestigious vacancies, like "35" or until "45" years. People who have crossed 45, is much more difficult to find new jobs. Business owners believe that the "old" a lot of grumbling, little work, not able to keep the rhythm of the modern, are not compatible with appliances, do not wish to grow and does not have enough power to solve serious problems.

But in reality this is not true. Exactly older workers With high qualifications and extensive experience, bring their employers the maximum position. And we are not even talking about those over 45 - the age of the current standards at all "children". German researchers found that workers over 65 (!) Are much more productive than their younger counterparts.

The researchers compared the workers aged 20 to 31 and aged 65 to 80, asking them to go through a series of 12 tests that determine the speed, memory, reaction speed and intelligence. These tests were then repeated several times in 100 days (determined by the number of "unlucky days"). By all accounts older workers   surpassed the young, and in some cases the gap has been very noticeable.

As authors of the study, this phenomenon is explained by the fact that older workers have a consistently high level of motivation, a stable mood and well-balanced routine (their working rhythm established over a decade).
