List of inefficient universities were subjected to reduction

Education and Science Minister Dmitry Livanov has prepared the final list of ineffective schools. Write about it "Izvestiya", proved to be in possession of a copy of the document.

In the final the black list of the Ministry of only 30 educational institutions that invited reorganize and link to other universities, and 70 - in need of optimization of educational and economic activities, while at the end of 2012 were found to be ineffective 136 universities and 450 branches.

Compared with the first version of the list of excluded inefficient institutions with "inefficiency due to the specifics of their activities." In particular, universities creative directions - Moscow Institute of Architecture, Institute of Literature named after Maxim Gorky, MAMI, the State Musical Pedagogical Institute named after MM Ippolitov-Ivanov, State University of Cinema and Television, State Academy of Theatrical Art, and many others. Also excluded from the list of institutions subordinated to the Prosecutor General's Office, Interior Ministry, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Justice, the Federal Penitentiary Service, Federal Customs Service. Also, now in the list are not specifically mentioned branches of universities.

The black list, in particular, proved to be somewhat metropolitan universities - Agrotechnical State University named VPGoryachkin, State University of Environmental Engineering, Evening Metallurgical state institute, Moscow State Open University, and has reorganized RGTEU. Also, several universities from St. Petersburg - State Polar Academy of Engineering and Economics State University, State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, State University of Service and Economics.

It is planned that their fate will be decided by the summer of this year after a series of meetings of the interdepartmental working committee to optimize the universities. In the meantime, the new list, as well as the program for the restructuring of inefficient universities, designed for two years, is aimed at the government.
