 Overweight diabetics protects from death  To a paradoxical conclusion drawn by researchers from Northwestern University in Chicago. They found that people with normal weight who have type 2 diabetes more likely to die prematurely than those who have excess weight.

It has extra padding like never considered health benefits. They most often lead to the development of human Type 2 diabetes . But if the disease came into its own, the extra weight, it turns out, can come in handy. US researchers found that diabetics with a healthy weight more than twice as often at risk of dying from heart disease and other causes than their peers with overweight.

Type 2 diabetes   can develop in people of normal weight - that is they who are at particular risk. The researchers observed a group of diabetics, one in eight of whom have never faced a problem of overweight. It turned out that in their body diabetes develops more aggressively.

"It was surprising to learn that people with type 2 diabetes and normal weight to die much more often than other diabetics - said study author Dr. Mercedes Karneton. - Overweight and obesity provide diabetics a certain protection in the final stage of kidney disease and heart. This is the so-called paradox obesity ".

However, Dr. Karneton hastened to add that the disadvantages of overweight and obesity are much greater than the above mentioned advantages. Extra weight associated with the development of many diseases - from heart attacks and strokes to cancer. And one of the most effective ways to treat type 2 diabetes for people with obesity still is weight loss.
