Frequent walks, cycling and jogging helps us stay in shape, and quickly get to your destination. But, as scientists have found, not all types of travel have on the body beneficial effects. For example, the long flights on airplanes and working in shifts can disrupt metabolic processes and, as a consequence, obesity .

- Our results explain the mysterious phenomenon in which people with disorders of the sleep cycle because of the frequent jet lag and shift work conditions appear to obesity - talks about his observations of Dr. Eran Elinav of the Weizmann Institute.

In the study, researchers analyzed fecal samples taken from mice and humans at different times of the day. They found the rhythmic fluctuations in the number of microbes and their activities, says Science World Report. Frequent change of day / night cycle and abnormal eating habits have led to an imbalance of bacteria in the gut, increasing the risk of metabolic disorders   in the test.

- In the future, our research will help find a cure for the normalization of microflora of people whose lifestyle involves frequent changes of sleep, such as workers in shifts or flyer - summed Elinav. - For the treatment of human probiotics and antimicrobial agents can reduce or even prevent the development of obesity and its complications.
