Researchers from Louisiana State University found out why dark chocolate is so good for our health. It turns contained in the human stomach microbes turn cocoa beans into a natural medicine that lowers blood pressure.

This "medicine" into the bloodstream and helps to protect arteries from damage. Dark chocolate healthy dairy in that it contains significantly higher levels of cocoa beans. Researchers tested three types of cocoa powder - an ingredient for the manufacture of chocolate. All of them were placed in an "artificial stomach", which is a laboratory container from several modified chemical tubes.
The cocoa beans contain polyphenols antioxidants such as catechin and epicatechin, as well as a certain amount of dietary fiber. These components are poorly digested, but efficiently recycled "friendly" bacteria of the intestine. The study found that the fibers pass through the fermentation and large polyphenol polymers are converted into smaller molecules that are more easily absorbed by the body.
