American scientists from the University of St. Louis in Missouri blocking pain signals in rodents suffering from chronic neuropathic pain. In the future, it can help people suffering from severe pain in tumors.

Scientists from the US have managed to block the transmission of pain signals to the brain in rodents, who suffered from chronic neuropathic pain. This was achieved through the inclusion of a receptor called A3 animal brain and spine, helping to suppress the strong sense discomfort. This technology may someday be used to alleviate the suffering of cancer patients.

It represents a significant more perfect than the currently available drugs from category opioid analgesics, since it has no specific side effects it not addictive and it does not increase resistance. Existing drugs today methods treatment of pain considered problematic because of their relatively strong side effects.
