Russians otuchat smoking

The government approved the concept of the state policy on combating tobacco consumption in the 2010-2015 year. The corresponding order on Tobacco Control signed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin   approved the document, the outcome of which is expected to reduce the number of smokers by fifteen percent. Accordingly, the number of passive smokers is projected to be reduced by half. The concept was developed in order to improve the health of Russians.

Now Russia is one of the "smoking" countries. Each year half a million people in our country die from diseases related to smoking. The proposed program, experts say, will help reduce these sad figures. It is compiled in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization Anti-smoking .

Among the measures to Anti-smoking Proposed in the concept, such as a ban on the advertising of cigarettes and other tobacco products, for use in the design of cigarette packs words that give the wrong information to buyers. For example, packages will now be absent describe taste and flavor of cigarettes. The government will increase the excise tax on the sale of cigarettes. And finally, in 2015 it is planned to introduce a total ban on smoking in public places.
