New Year's holidays are fraught with an unplanned pregnancy

Half of the women runs the risk of an unplanned pregnancy after a rough holiday season, which will begin at the end of the year. Scientists have found that many women forget or take contraceptives, or simply drink too much.

In late December, the holiday season starts, which in the West begins a little earlier than in Russia, due to the fact that there are already celebrate Christmas on December 25. The pharmaceutical company from the UK LloydsPharmacy conducted a survey, which showed that the risk of unplanned pregnancy   may face every second woman.

It was found that one out of every six women forget taking contraceptives   holidays because of the large amount of alcohol consumed, one of every 7 - due to the fact that they themselves holidays distract their attention. Finally, about the same number of women miss pills, because they do not have time to meet with the doctor before Christmas and get a prescription. Well, 28% of women leave home contraceptives when leaving somewhere for Christmas vacation.

The network itself LloydsPharmacy says 32 percent surge in the services of on-line services of contraception in their pharmacies during the Christmas holidays. The survey also showed that 13% of women are forced to resort to a postcoital contraceptive, which in the West is called the pill "the next morning." At the same time every 14 minutes a woman needed ... these pills after a corporate Christmas party.

Only 5% of respondents used the service ever online pharmacies to buy contraceptives, but 45% are willing to do so if the Internet allows them to get a prescription for the drug, and then deliver contraceptives to door for a modest fee. (READ MORE)
