Skim milk does not protect children against weight gain, the researchers found both of Virginia School of Medicine. In contrast, for the child's waist useful to use the traditional fat milk.

Interestingly, in the United States American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association recommends that parents of young children to give them skim milk after two years for the prevention of obesity, but in the UK children under five years old are advised to drink fat milk. British experts believe that the skim milk is not enough nutrients that children need to compensate for the energy needed for growth.
