Problems with the cycle - heart problems

Women with irregular menstrual cycles and are subject to other diseases. They have an increased risk of developing heart disease.

A new study by Dutch scientists proved that irregular menstruation   entail problems with heart . The study involved more than 23 thousand Dutch women. They surveyed over ten years. As a result, it was found that women with irregular cycle , 28 percent more likely to suffer from heart disease.

For women with long cycles (30 days or more between periods), this risk was not. During the study period, about 4000 women reported irregular cycle . Of these, 150 observed in the study were diagnosed with coronary heart disease. Scientists have found the tendency of women with irregular cycles in the development of Type II diabetes.

Possible causes of this relationship is unclear. Doctors thought that it depends on the level of hormones in the body. But so far they have failed to find evidence. Also not confirmed such versions as the impact of high blood pressure, cholesterol and weight. For this reason, the research team from the Netherlands intends to continue research and to shed light on the true cause of this phenomenon.
