A group of Japanese scientists from the University of Toyama concluded that bath and sauna strengthens the cardiovascular system of the person, and in addition, enhance self-esteem and mood.
During the research, they found that regular visits to the bath (five times a week for one month) significantly improves the cardiovascular system, increases the ability to endure physical and mental load.
Professor Takashi Ohori, head of the research team, said that the visit to the sauna strengthens the heart and improves its ability to pump the blood.
Also, it prevents thrombosis and occlusion of blood vessels, improves the function of the heart as the membrane. Also, scientists in the research process has been found non-physiological aspect of the positive influence of bath procedures.
Hiking in the bath improves mood and self-esteem that makes people more optimistic. This is due to the protective brain's response to increased temperature: the body, trying to cool itself, activates a biochemical mechanism that strengthens the areas of the brain responsible for mood and perception of the outside world.
