A resident of the English Coventry Steven Thorpe was in a terrible car accident and suffered a serious injury. Another person in the course of the accident died, and Stephen entered into artificial coma . Then he was pronounced brain-dead, but continued to maintain life in the body of a teenage boy with the help of life support systems - for eventual transplantation of organs not affected.
Four different doctors confirmed Stephen's parents, the young man had never come to his senses. Doctors asked his father and mother Thorpe consider transferring son's body for organ transplants before the life-support machine is switched off. But Steven's father refused to believe in his death. Julia spent another neurological examination of the patient for a few minutes before the machines were going to be turned off. She spotted subtle brain waves and demanded that doctors tried to bring a young man from artificial coma . Five weeks later Stephen was discharged from the hospital after a nearly full recovery.
Since then, he has restored the health, education and now works as an accountant trainee. Stephen the first time for all this time agreed to give an interview.
