Researchers in Japan believe that discovered the secret of why women live on average longer than men. It turns out that the fairer sex has a strong immunity.

Scientists at Tokyo Medical and Dental University believe that the whole thing in a woman's immunity, that is, the number of white blood cells that are responsible for fighting infections. Japanese researchers also believe that an important role in this case played by cytokines - specific substances secreted by various types of cells that act on other cells. They have a marked effect on the immune system. Female hormone estrogen boosts the immune system to fight infections, but the male testosterone does not have such an impact.
